GreenBean Café, a small coffee shop in Portland, Oregon, used to have paper menus taped to the wall. They'd get smudged with coffee stains, and updating prices or adding new drinks meant reprinting everything. Then owner Mia invested in a 21.5 inch
digital signage screen. "Now, our menu changes with the seasons at the touch of a button," she says. "In the morning, it highlights our breakfast sandwiches; in the afternoon, it switches to iced lattes. Last month, we ran a promotion: 'Scan the QR code on the screen, follow us on Instagram, and get a free pastry.' We gained 200 new followers in a week!"
